    Rain is hypnotic.
It’s speed that slow down to caress the body it touched and the dull sound that beat a time that it seems frozen.

We live in a city in a rainy climate, and ride in rain regularly. I love the freshness of the air when it’s raining. And, with good rain gear, riding in the rain is a pleasure! I like rain on my face, and the breeze coming under my poncho. So much better than a rain coat, which always made me to hot. Dankjewel for the chance tp win one of these gorgeous ponchos! 🚲💦❤ ~Sara

Rain isn’t the enough reason to cancel your bicycle journey: the streets are more empty and you don’t have to fend off crowds everywhere you ride; air is clearer and fresher, the sun doesn’t burn your back. And, of course, if you are doing that in a right Poncho!;)) P.S.: That post-rain smell is to die for)

  27. Rain always makes me think of Fred Astaire ‘singing in the rain’, and then I can’t help but imagine him twirling around every lightpost… I always end up at my destination with a smile on my face.

Buy the best coffee around the corner early in the morning – wearing pj’s – running back and drink it in the bed. Reading a book at the window, and listening the rain. Afternoon dance at home, than going to an art cinema watch a French movie… 😍

  30. We love the rain for so many of the wonderful reasons above but perhaps above all because because every after after shower hour is a chance to start fresh.

The post precipitation smell is sublime and everything is rinsed clean.

Here’s to beginning new after your next ride through the rain!

Why I love to cycle in the rain?

Not only clears it my mind after a long hard day of eduction 14-17yrs old kids (yes their hard to work with sometimess)
It also makes the bike lanes less crowded. No more bike traffic jams, but going with the flow and being at home a lot faster 😉

Rain is the earth washing itself, caressing itself, quenching the thirst of it’s children, and when one walks in the rain, cycles in the rain, without retreating or hiding, you are allowing the earth to touch you in return, to feel a part of the whole, to love you, and sustain you.

My favorite thing about the rain is the sound. The patter on the streets and rooftops, or the hiss when it moves through the trees and rivers – even the clang echoing down the from the chimney flu when you’re huddled up with a cup of tea. More than silent snow and sun and the ominous wind, rain makes a sound that’s familiar and comforting in the city. 🙂

A lot of people are hiding from the rain, some people do not like to get wet, some people prefer the sun … I like feeling the rain. Especially when I’m coming home from work on my bike. The rain soaks my clothes, but it washes my soul.
